Tilak Pasala, MD, FACC, FSCAI, MBA serves as the Medical Director of Structural Heart Disease at Delray Medical Center, bringing extensive expertise in managing complex valvular disorders through catheter-based interventional procedures. A nationally recognized authority in structural cardiology, Dr. Pasala is frequently invited to lecture and moderate at leading national conferences. He served as the principal investigator for more than eight medical device research trials, authored over 12 book chapters, and published 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals on structural heart disease. Dr. Pasala specializes in advanced interventional techniques, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) for mitral and tricuspid valves (MitraClip and TriClip), left atrial appendage occlusion (Watchman, Amulet), transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve replacement, closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defects (ASD), paravalvular leak closure, and transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement. He is also deeply involved in pioneering structural heart research through participation in cutting-edge medical device trials. Beyond structural cardiology, Dr. Pasala is highly skilled in complex coronary interventions, including stent placement, trans-radial catheterization, atherectomy (calcium removal), percutaneous mechanical circulatory support, and peripheral arterial interventions, underscoring his comprehensive approach to cardiovascular care. Prior to his current role, Dr. Pasala held esteemed leadership positions, including Interim Director of Structural Heart Disease at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey and a key member of the Structural Heart Team at AdventHealth Orlando. He also served as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Hackensack School of Medicine and as Program Director of the Structural Heart Disease Fellowship Program at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he trained 10 fellows. Dr. Pasala’s educational background includes a Cardiology Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth, an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Utah, and a two-year dedicated Structural Heart Disease Fellowship at Hackensack University Medical Center, one of the few such programs in the country.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. I had the last late afternoon appointment, after seeing Dr. Pasala, It was past 6:00PM, yet the staff stayed late to help me schedule my stress test & echocardiogram, then answered several questions about my Insurance coverage, even speaking with Dr. Pasala to ensure I was given the correct information. I have seen other medical professionals in South Florida, and the patients' experience here was incredibly superior. Lastly, all the staff clearly worked so well together. It was obvious that the office environment is a productive and congenial group of professionals.
