Dr. Lovy is a fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery. Prior to joining the Paley Institute in 2023, Dr. Lovy was an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he served as the Assistant Fellowship Director of the Hand Surgery Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Beth Israel. He is skilled in the treatment of arthritic and complex traumatic disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, offering the latest arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatment options. Additionally, Dr. Lovy has a particular interest in peripheral nerve injuries including brachial plexus as well as targeted muscle reinnervation. Dr. Lovy received his medical and master’s degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, graduating with distinction in clinical research. He then completed Orthopaedic Surgery residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Lovy continued his training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN specializing in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgery. Dr. Lovy enjoys publishing and lecturing on disorders of the hand and upper extremity. He has published more than 45 clinical and basic science research articles and has presented at national and international meetings. Additionally, Dr. Lovy has authored numerous textbook chapters including tendon injuries of the hand, elbow instability, brachial plexus, and repair/reconstruction of rotator cuff tears. Loved the Radiologist, very personable and explained what was needed in an easy to understand fashion. Michael was the PA and not only listened to my issue, he explained what was going to happen and then clearly explained what happened after the procedure. Dr. Lovy was attentive and able to not only listen to what I was concerned about but was able to form a plan that was a lot less intrusive that addressed my symptoms. After a week, I have had marked improvements with my issues. Very satisfied and would whole heartedly recommend.

I've actually never been to a doctors office and I've been to many I've had 44 operations and other issues. So I have never experienced the kindness and let's call it a bedside manner of everyone who worked there. They were actually able to make it fun.

I did wait a long time before being called but it was explained to me that there was a computer issue that morning Also Dr Lovy is new to this practice but one of the things I like about him is he doesn't rush my appointment He is Very attentive and caring This was only my second visit with Dr Lovy and definitely coming back His P.A.
