Oct 25, 2024

Delray Medical Center promotes Aganette Parks, MHA, PMP, to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). She has been serving as the Interim COO since July 2024.

“Aganette has been an invaluable asset to our team, and her promotion to fulltime COO is well-deserved,” said Heather Havericak, the hospital’s CEO. “Her vision and commitment to operational excellence are exactly what we need as we continue to elevate the quality of care at Delray Medical Center.”

In October 2021, Parks was named Associate Administrator of Delray Medical Center. As Associate Administrator she was responsible for planning, overseeing and directing support services at the hospital including environmental services and food and nutrition. She provided administrative direction for operations, program development and growth, staffing and construction projects for surgical services.

She managed several service lines including orthopedics, spine and bariatrics. She led hospital operational initiatives including capital investments, cost-containment, and facility projects and renovations. During her tenure, she was instrumental in launching the focused ultrasound program and thoracic oncology.

Prior to that role, Parks was the Service Line Administrator for Surgical Services for the Palm Beach Health Network. During her time in the role, she successfully led several strategic initiatives and service line enhancements in orthopedics, neurosurgery and general surgery across the network.

Before joining the Palm Beach Health Network, Parks was with Tenet Healthcare’s Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA, where she served in multiple roles such as Business Manager of surgical services with oversight of daily operations of the operating room, Service Line Manager for orthopedics & neurosciences and Administrative Fellow.

Parks earned her Bachelors in Health Science and her Masters in Health Administration from the University of Florida.
