Cole Taschman was surfing at Bathtub Beach last Friday, when a shark bit both of his legs. He was bit about 13 years ago as a teen at the same exact beach. This most recent bite was significantly more serious, requiring more than 90 stitches.
Our trauma team, including Dr. Robert Borrego and Dr. Ibrahim Jabbour, treated Cole which included two surgeries.
We hosted a press conference for a story that is already making its way around the world.
