West Boca Medical Center Names Emily DeJonge as its Associate Chief Nursing Officer

West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) appoints Emily DeJonge MSN, RN, as its new Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO). DeJonge brings extensive healthcare leadership experience, all with Palm Beach Health Network, with proven a track record of improving hospital operations while focusing on quality patient outcomes.

DeJonge has more than 20 years of experience across various levels in nursing, including more than 10 years at WBMC. Most recently, she held three concurrent roles at WBMC: medical surgical unit director, orthopedic service line director, and program coordinator for the nurse extern program. Prior to that she was WBMC’s patient safety officer and director of risk management. Before joining the WBMC team in 2012, she worked as a nurse at Delray Medical Center, starting her nursing career there in 2004.

“Emily has shown time and time again that she is ready for every challenge each new leadership position brings,” said WBMC’s CEO Jerad Hanlon. “She has been an integral member of our team, helping us grown and maintain a high quality of care for our patients.”

DeJonge’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, also from FAU.
