“We are in the middle of flu season. This is traditionally our busy season. Right around the holidays, here in Florida, it tends to peak. We are seeing just in the past couple of days, it come down a little bit,” Dr. Cory Harow, facility medical director for the emergency department at #WestBocaMedicalCenter, said.

Harow said holiday travel is the primary driver of infections.

“Down in Florida, especially over the holidays, we have a tremendous amount of travelers who are coming to visit, which, on one hand, is really nice, but they bring their bugs with them from around the country,” Harow said.
