Palm Beach Health Network Celebrates National Nurses Week 2025
May 15, 2025As we come to the end of a successful National Nurses Week, the Palm Beach Health Network acknowledges the critical role nurses perform in our hospitals and for our community.
National Nurses Week is celebrated annually to coincide with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, on May 12. Like Florence Nightingale, our nurses serve with passion and dedication, fighting for their patients every day. As Florence Nightingale did in her time, our nurses represent a profession of advocacy and strength.
The Nurses Week 2025 theme “The Power of Nurses,” perfectly embodies the irreplaceable value of nurses in keeping the nation healthy and thriving. Throughout history, nurses have been the backbone of the healthcare system, advocating for patients and leading at the forefront of innovation.

“While we make a point to celebrate our nurses this week, every day we are thankful to all of our nurses,” said Maggie Gill, group president for Tenet Healthcare’s East Coast region. “Our nurses are respected for their unwavering devotion to our patients, their families and each other. We are grateful to all of our teams every day for putting our patients first and for their essential support to ensure every patient in our community receives high-quality care.”
To our nurses, we say thank you for being champions of care. You cheer patients up when they need encouragement and advocate for the greatest good. Thank you for your steadfast care – a vital sign of your devotion to your patients and each other. We are Stronger Together. For you.
