We all know it's hot in Florida, but if you have an underlying heart condition, it can be especially harmful to your health.

Dr. Emilio Garcia, an interventional cardiologist, talked to WPBF 25 about what to look out for.

"Particularly if you are taking cardiovascular medications such as blood pressure medicines, they can promote further dehydration on top of the dehydration the temperature can cause," Garcia said. "Maintaining yourself in shade and keeping a water bottle with you at all times will help alleviate your concerns about heat stroke and overheating."
