#goodsamaritanmedicalcenter's Dr. Olayemi Osiyemi, chair of infectious disease, spoke with WPBF 25 News about the recent Vibrio vulnificus case in Martin County. While rare, this bacteria can be dangerous if you have an open cut or eat raw seafood that doesn’t seem right.

His advice:
👉 Avoid raw oysters that look/smell/taste off

👉 Don’t ignore pain that feels worse than it looks

👉 Seek care quickly if you’re unsure
