Congratulations to #goodsamaritanmedicalcenter Tenet Hero, Shawn Smith, who was just named as the latest #HometownHero by CBS 12 News!

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — This week’s "Hometown Hero" has dedicated his life to helping others during some of their darkest days.

Shawn Smith is an oncology nurse at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

It’s a career inspired by the memory of his younger brother, who passed away from cancer.

“Everybody loved him. Everybody knew him. He commanded a room when he walked in.”
