Boynton Man Flies Again After Losing Arm in Motorcycle Crash
Feb 24, 2026Maurice Mark will tell you he was born to fly. After a terrible motorcycle crash last year, his aspiring pilot career was in jeopardy. He lost his right arm, his dominant side.
"When I woke up, immediately the surgeons told me, 'You can still fly, man.'" Mark said. "That's like the very first thing I heard."
He was rushed to #StMarysMedicalCenter as a trauma patient, where he would spend nearly a month. Trauma Medical Director, Dr. Faris Azar, and the team performed nine operations on Maurice.
Next, it was to #delraymedicalcenter and #PinecrestRehabilitationHospital to get his strength back and learn how to live life with only his left arm.
And eventually, back to the cockpit and into the skies.
