PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – Florida Coast Medical Center is announcing the successful completion of its first electrophysiology (EP) ablation procedure, marking a major milestone in the hospital’s expanding cardiovascular program. The procedure was performed utilizing advanced CARTO® mapping technology with NGEN integration to treat cardiac arrhythmia.

Electrophysiology ablation is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat irregular heart rhythms, including atrial fibrillation (AFib) and other complex arrhythmias. By precisely mapping the heart’s electrical signals and targeting abnormal tissue, physicians can restore normal rhythm, reduce symptoms, and lower the risk of long-term complications such as stroke and heart failure.

The procedure was performed using CARTO®, a 3D cardiac mapping system, combined with NGEN technology to enhance precision and procedural efficiency. The technology allows physicians to create detailed, real-time maps of the heart’s electrical activity, helping to guide catheter placement and ablation with greater accuracy.
