BE FAST Stroke Simulation Chair Offered at Delray Medical Center

May 20, 2026

ICYMI from WPBF 25 News: #DelrayMedicalCenter stroke simulator teaches public to spot stroke signs during 'The Golden Hour'

The simulator is a chair that provides users with a hands-on experience to understand what a stroke can look and feel like.

The device uses the acronym "BE FAST" to guide users through stroke symptoms: Balance problems, Eyes blurring, Facial drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, and Time to call 911.

The simulator also includes a short quiz about stroke risk factors, aiming to educate the community about stroke symptoms and the importance of acting quickly.

"We want our community, the Delray community and the Palm Beach County community, to know what stroke-like symptoms look like," Dr. Dennys Reyes, an interventional neurologist at Delray Medical Center, said.
