About David Feldman
In 2015, Dr. David Feldman joined the Paley Institute to lead our new Spine Deformity Center and Hip Pain Center. Dr. Feldman was previously Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatrics as well as Chief of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery NYU Langone Medical Center/ NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Feldman specializes in pediatric orthopedic surgery and subspecializes in children with scoliosis and severe limb and hip deformities. As well, he focuses his practice on conditions such as arthrogryposis, Multiple Hereditary Exostosis and Skeletal Dysplasias. After graduating from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in 1988, Dr. Feldman interned in general surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery in June 1993 and spent the next year in fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children Toronto with a special interest in pediatric orthopedic surgery and pediatric spine surgery. Dr. Feldman brings over 25 years of experience in pediatric orthopedics, spinal deformity and joint preservation to the practice. Since completing his studies, Dr. Feldman has been at the forefront of both simple and complex pediatric orthopedic treatments. He has helped many children with orthopedic deformities and conditions avoid surgery through early detection. His expertise with advanced non-surgical and surgical techniques has allowed hundreds of children to resume their normal activities after recovery times that are shorter than those of other methods.

Dr. David Feldman was able to recognize my son's arm was in fact fractured. A few weeks prior to flying out to the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute my son fell and hurt his arm pretty bad. I took him to the ER and orthopedic specialist in California and both places said it WAS NOT broken or fractured. Only to find out by Dr. Feldman while examining my son and his X-rays that it was healing from a fracture.

What a great place!! From my first call to make an appointment to seeing Dr Feldman, the staff and the Dr are super! So polite and nice. I can see that Everyone here loves there job. They treat the patients great. I saw a few children in the office when I was there and I could tell they love it! The staff and doctors are so sweet with the kids! overall I had a pleasant experience. the staff handled the complications of social distancing and Covid protocols politely and proficiently. I was treated with respect and dignity by everyone on the staff I encountered. I saw Physician Assistant Tiffany Brown to start my visit, and she was absolutely fantastic. I had all my questions answers prior to my visit with Dr Feldman. Dr Feldman took time on speaking with me and answering questions as well as explaining things at a layperson level for me. I was not rushed during my visit and felt as though I was more than just a patient. Very happy with the entire experience for all my visits with the clinic..

Last year we sought a 2nd opinion from Dr. Feldman regarding a tumor on my son's spine. His recommendation was the complete opposite of what we were told by doctors in Atlanta. We made the decision to follow Dr. Feldman's advice and proceed with surgery. I have no doubt that this surgery saved my son's life. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Feldman and his staff.
