Open Surgery 

Open surgery is a traditional type of surgery in which large incisions are made using a scalpel. While this can be performed safely and effectively, the larger incision may cause trauma and could result in a longer recovery. Furthermore, there is a higher risk of bleeding and infection. Open surgery is usually compared to “minimally invasive” surgical techniques, which involve smaller incisions. However, there are times where open surgery is a preferred approach by the surgeon. Laparoscopic Surgery

Also known as minimally invasive surgery, Laparoscopic surgery is an operation performed through the abdomen or pelvis area using small incisions and with the aid of a small camera and laparoscope instruments. There are a number of advantages of performing laparoscopic surgery versus open surgical procedures; these include less trauma, shorter recovery time, reduced pain, and less hemorrhaging.

Robotic Surgery

Robotic-assisted surgery may be the most precise instrument for minimally invasive surgery. Procedures are performed through a series of small incisions and guided through a robotic arm for maximum precision. We have a variety of surgical robots to give surgeons a wide range of motion and precision with a high-definition 3-D camera that guides the surgeon during the operation.
