Breast Cancer Genetic Counseling and Testing

As breast cancer can also be hereditary, we also offer genetic counseling and testing through our service partner Informed DNA. Patients love the convenience of all virtual appointments.

IORT (Intraoperative Radiation Therapy):

For patients over age 50, who have early stage breast cancer that has not spread, and who meet other specific criteria, IORT may offer the following benefits:

  • All of the needed radiation can be delivered at one time
  • Smaller radiation dose than external beam radiotherapy
  • Nearby healthy organs and tissues receive less radiation
  • Patients avoid the inconvenience of 4-6 weeks of daily treatment sessions
  • Cosmetic outcomes are improved since skin and tissue are not exposed to ongoing treatments
