Before Baby Arrives
Babies are a handful, even before they’ve arrived. We have some advice to help make your big day go well. Make sure you have selected a hospital with a convenient location and ask plenty of questions to determine whether the hospital has all the
services you need (midwives, child-birthing classes).
The best time to pre-register for delivery is in the seventh month of your pregnancy, which is in the third trimester. You will also need to have a safety seat for your baby. And don’t forget to register for our eNursery to post pictures for your
friends and family.
During Your Stay
Soon after you arrive, you will settle into your own comfortable private room. This is where you will stay for labor, delivery and recovery.
Your accommodations include a private bathroom and shower, an adjustable bed, and a couch or reclining chair for your labor partner. Spanish language services are available for those who need them.
Once your new family member has arrived, our neonatologists and nurses will be on hand to administer any special care or treatment that may be required. We also offer state-of-the-art equipment to help care for your new baby.
Postpartum Support
Those first days with your new baby are precious. You will find the privacy you need to bond with your newborn, along with plenty of experienced caregivers who can answer your questions when you need a little guidance.
If you plan to breastfeed your baby, you can take the time you need to adjust to this new part of motherhood, or you can seek help from one of our certified lactation consultants. They are always available for consultations in-room and will provide the
support you need to get started.
All of our Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby rooms are private. We also offer in-room private bathrooms and showers.
