Volunteering doesn’t just help us provide care to our patients. It also strengthens our bond with the community. By giving day-to-day care, you can play a vital role in Good Samaritan’s mission to improve the health and lives of our patients

Types of Volunteers

Adults: For anyone in the community 18+
Summer Volunteens: For high school students ages 15-17
Pet Therapy: For anyone with a certified therapy dog to visit our patients
Spiritual Care: For anyone interested in meeting the spiritual needs of our patients

Interested in Volunteering? Follow these steps:

Step 1: Application

Step 2: Schedule Placement Interview

Once application is submitted to [email protected], our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you individually to schedule a time

Step 3: Accepted into Volunteer Program

Step 4: Schedule a Meeting with Employee Health

Volunteer coordinator will reach out to you individually to schedule a time
All volunteers will need to be cleared by employee health before they can start volunteering
During this meeting you will complete a screening for tuberculosis
If applicable, verify your Flu Shot (only required between November 1st-March 31st)

Step 5: Attend Mandatory Orientation

Volunteer coordinator will provide you with orientation dates

Step 6: Start Volunteering

Volunteer Opportunities

We have various volunteer positions working with patients or just as general support for staff. You can volunteer at any part of the day, during the workweek or on weekends. We will work with you and your schedule. We appreciate you taking the time to help us and that’s why we provide extra benefits to make it easy for you.
