Aquablation
Aquablation therapy is a minimally invasive, robot-assisted treatment that uses a high-velocity waterjet to precisely remove excess prostate tissue causing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This approach is designed to provide symptom relief while preserving surrounding structures important for urinary and sexual function, and is offered at Delray Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, and Florida Coast Medical Center.
BPH, or an enlarged prostate, is a noncancerous condition in which the prostate has grown larger than normal. One in two men aged 51 to 60 has BPH, and the incidence increases every decade of life. If left untreated, BPH can cause significant health problems, including irreversible bladder or kidney damage, bladder stones and incontinence. Other BPH surgical treatments offer either a high degree of symptom relief with high rates of irreversible complications (such as incontinence, erectile dysfunction or ejaculatory dysfunction) or a low degree of symptom relief with low rates of irreversible complications.

Good Samaritan Medical Center was the first hospital in South Florida outside of Miami to perform Aquablation® therapy with the new HYDROS™ Robotic System, and the first in Palm Beach County to reach 100 cases using this next-generation platform to treat men with BPH.
