Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation

Palm Beach Health Network offers multiple locations for Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation:

  • Good Samaritan Medical Center
  • Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center – Outpatient Rehabilitation Center (Women Only)
  • West Boca Medical Center

Palm Beach Health Network offers a pelvic health and rehabilitation program for patients suffering from incontinence and/or pain in the pelvic region. This includes abdominals, buttocks, lower back, pelvic floor, coccyx, vagina and rectum. Pelvic floor muscles may become weak, tight or spastic, as a result of disease, surgery, childbirth or other trauma.

The specialized physical therapists at Palm Beach Health Network facilities work with you to evaluate the cause of your pain or limitation in function. They perform an initial evaluation and develop a program to address your needs.

What are my treatment options?

  • Flexibility and strengthening exercises
  • Pelvic floor muscle stimulation
  • Biofeedback
  • Internal and/or external therapeutic massage and myofascial release
  • Postural exercises
  • Education in bladder retraining, dietary irritants, anatomy, relaxation techniques, and diaphragmatic breathing
  • Development of an individualized home exercise plan

A physician’s prescription is required for physical therapy. Pelvic rehabilitation is covered by most insurance companies.
