Time is critical when you’re having a stroke. Two million brain cells die every minute your brain is deprived of oxygen, so you need treatment as quickly as possible. Not only that, but you need to know that treatment follows the latest in best practices and standards. 

When the clock is ticking, our Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Centers have a multidisciplinary team committed to making sure stroke patients are seen and treatment is started as quickly as possible. 

Our stroke team includes emergency department physicians, neurologists, and radiologists who specialize in stroke care. The team is available around-the-clock to respond when a patient with stroke symptoms comes to the hospital. 

Shortening the time from door to treatment: 

Our stroke centers have made the commitment to decrease the time it takes to administer the clot-busting drug, tPA, once a patient arrives in the ER, which is known as door-to-needle time. The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association advocates a door-to-needle time of 60 minutes or less, but our team has treated patients in as little as 21 minutes. We’re here to stop your stroke in its tracks.
